CATECHESIS

Catechesis, teaching children the fullness of the faith well, is the primary reason for the existence of Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice (PEEP).

We heartedly recommend an excellent catechesis program launched by Voice of the Family, it is a free online resource for anyone who wants to learn the faith and is suitable for all ages.  A friend’s 4-year-old grandson is following it and doing really well.  We are also aware of a non-Catholic man following it and finding it easy to understand.  Based on the Baltimore catechism, it has free teaching material available for parents to download for their children and has been produced to an extremely high standard.  At the moment there are over 10,000 people accessing it worldwide.  The priest who narrates it is a traditional priest who celebrates the Traditional Mass only.  He also has an online rosary prayer group.

There is also The Light of the World series, which is also an excellent syllabus based on the Catechism of Catholic Doctrine (the old Penny Catechism 1933).

The Light of the World Series

The  Light of the World series is the 1954 Syllabus of Religious Knowledge in Scotland and based upon the Catechism of Catholic Doctrine (Penny Catechism 1933). This is the only known primary school textbook series which is written for the Penny Catechism.
